They are so very beautiful and reflections of Victorian times.
My decorating style has always been very similar to that era.
So much of Victorian decor has disappeared around here, due to the smallness of my apartment and the need to downsize in a huge way. Many crystal, patterned sugar bowls collected during the years are now gone, mostly given away.
But a few of the retained ones have been given new roles----that of mini-vases for tiny floral bouquets.
They are so darned cute!
Just like humans, decorating items have to go through changes, too, and they are not always unpleasant.
Now, when I see one of my crystal sugar bowls turned into a floral vase it's easy to just say, "How sweet it is."

I love the way you placed flowers in the crystal sugar bowls. I have a few pieces of crystal and this inspired me to take them out and start using them. so very pretty Susan. You are right..."How sweet it is"
I have a few crystal pieces that I still enjoy. It used to be, young brides always received crystal as wedding gifts. Amazing that now you can go to any thrift store and find expensive crystal at a fraction of what they originally cost.
I love the photos - the colors and the beauty of the delicate cut crystal are timeless.
God bless you

The do look extra pretty with the flowers in them. Everything here gets so dingy from the dust. I'd never be able to keep them clean.
Oh what a good idea to use them for cut flowers. I'm sure the recipient or you will really enjoy looking at them. Good job!
