After many days of bone-chilling temperatures and only intermittent sunshine, the winter starts to tug at our sanity and ability to keep on persevering.
So yesterday, after a several day bout of lousy respiratory flu, I found myself picking out envelopes of flower seeds.
This was in a hardware store where I went to get some keys made.
Ohhhhhh, it was so lovely to think of pots of beautiful flowers, bobbing their colorful little blooming heads up and down in the sun.
So, five packettes came home with me.
At the supermarket in the afternoon, I even bought two bags of growing soil that promised to grow "big" flowers.
Next will come some pots to plant these seeds in.
Even though it's still quite chilly outside, I feel happier and my heart is warmer, thinking of spring and beautiful flowers!I want to thank all the sweet blog peeps who sent me well wishes and happy notes during this most recent flu. You are the salt of the earth and a truly humongous blessing in blogland. Thank you for your kindness.WHAT DO YOU DO TO CHEER YOURSELF UP WHEN THE WINTER HAS YOU READY TO JUMP OUT THE WINDOW AND RUN FOR THE HILLS?

hey Susan.. I was just outside looking and trying to plan for the flowers I will be planting. donna’s are always a good choice! Thank goodness we have lots of sunshine this week.
I bake. Too much. :)
Your seed packages are all so pretty. I planted some tomato and pepper seed this morning in my mud room with the help of a grow light. Looking so forward to Spring :)
I'm happy to hear that you are feeling better, God bless you.
These flower seed packets are a cheerful way to uplift someone who has been down with the flu. You know, I received some forget-me-not packets when my sister-in-law passed, and I haven't planted them yet, but I can just imagine a whole bed of purple forget-me-nots in the garden. What a sight. I sometimes just want to keep the packets to remember her. Don't you just love these envelopes? I'm glad you are feeling better, Susan. Please do show the pots that you buy to plant the flowers in.
