Ukrainian Easter Eggs Are Works of Art

My dearest high school girlfriend, Patti, had Ukrainian ancestry in her family.

Every Easter, for several years, she gifted me with gorgeous Ukrainian Easter eggs.

They are extremely delicate and intricately decorated.

Truly, each fragile egg is a work of incredible art.

I tried to take a few close-up photos so you could see some of the detail that goes into these precious eggs.

Patti died and is in the other realm of life now. I will always miss her terribly but she is a part of my heart forever.

She'd be sooooo happy I was sharing my Ukrainian eggs with you!

The eggs she gave are very special to me because I know she selected each one with care, not to mention paying a lot of money for every single one.

They are very expensive and worth it because of the detail and immense work that go into them.

This is a very special collection of egg art.

If you enjoy seeing art from other countries, stop by again soon.

I plan to do a post on my Polish Easter eggs next.

I hope you have a super day today!

You have such a nice collection of these eggs. This really is a special gift and one that I know you so appreciate. There is so much detailed art on each one. I just wonder why they are the in the colors of black, red and gold? Must be some kind of history behind the colors. Thanks for sharing Susan...they are so very pretty..

I have several eggs also from Poland and I have them on display in an Easter basket on my dining room table. I also have eggs from Japan that one of my piano students Mom painted. They are also very pretty...white with painted colors on them. I love all your pictures. Good job.

Those are beautiful - the colors and the detail.
