Folk Art

Artistic pieces from other countries have always been intriguing.

The colorful art from Nicaragua, Central America, is very unique and beautiful, in its own way.

The cross shown in today's post is from that country.

Every inch of it tells its own story of everyday countryside life there.

The images are simple and kind of rustic but are very inviting.

Throughout this apartment are examples of folk art from all over the world.

DO YOU ENJOY FOLK ART OR ARE YOU MORE TRADITIONAL WITH ONE  FAMILILAR  STYLE?

That's neat that the people in that region are shown on the Cross with scenes from their simple every day lives. Folk art is nice, but I don't have any in my home. I have mostly floral paintings, and countryside scenes are pretty also. I must get more artwork for my house; it's such a delight to see yours.

Happy February, Susan!

Your folk art is very pretty . I only have photos for the most part in my house on the walls. I also have very old paintings made by my children when they were in grammar school.
