Happy Father's Day to All Fathers, Makers of Memories

A most happy and blessed Father's Day to dads everywhere.

It is hard to be a Dad.

It carries so much responsibility and hard, hard, work.

It requires endless supplies of patience and sacrifice. 

My own father created so many of my precious memories.

He was a simple, humble man who really loved his five daughters.

I could never see a huge garden without thinking of him.  

He had one every year of my childhood.

He also loved daffodils and purple iris and he fed the birds in our yard.

He had a very hilarious sense of humor. 

To this day, things he said come to mind and crack me up.

He had a very strong faith in God and passed that down to all of us.

Despite the fact that he's been gone for more than 30 years, I still miss him.

Sometimes I think I see him driving and it catches my breath but it's obviously not him so a huge hug is impossible to give.

He died at age 76 years in 1989 and life was never again the same after that.

One of my wishes is that I'd like to tell him I love him and also, thanks for everything he did for me throughout my life. 

Someday, hopefully, I'll be able to tell him both.
