Start Blooming!

The saying "Bloom Where You're Planted" is one of the best ever devised.

When the sign at the top of this post popped up while shopping, it went into my cart to be given as a gift to someone.

The saying is short but contains a whopping amount of truth.

So many times in life, it's easy to want to seek a new area in which to live, or to want to find a new home or apartment, or so on.

Perhaps it is more important to appreciate the place where one has been "planted" and strive to accept it and keep walking forward.

The little sign serves as a good reminder to ponder.

HAVE YOU EVER BLOOMED WHERE YOU WERE PLANTED?

Oh I’ve been planted 53 years in California and definitely have bloomed since then. It’s a good saying.

Yes, I have bloomed here. I never imagined I'd land in the mountains, but it has given me some good times in life that I will take with me wherever I go. The pine trees all around me, the snow capped mountains, the deer, and even the people have been unexpected surprises. This is a very lovely post, Susan, to just be content where you're at. And when it's time, we move on. : )

I often dream of a home in Colorado or Montana... but the truth is. we are very content where we are and I always remind myself that there is no place like home right here in our small hometown..

It's a great attitude, Susan, and one I try to live out in my life. Sometimes we are in the wrong place but there are times when we can't do anything about it, so that's when we try to bloom anyway. Even if it's hard. Even if things aren't blooming especially well.

I hope you are doing well, Susan, and enjoying your summer. Please take care. xo
