Visit to a Farm
Just because I'm a city girl, doesn't mean a visit to a farm cannot be enjoyable.
As a matter of fact, recently, while driving through the countryside, I stopped at a farm in Western Massachusetts and it turned out to be quite fascinating! I loved seeing all the animals, especially the babies!
When buying fresh eggs from the farm, it's amazing how bright yellow the yolks are compared to pale yellow supermarket eggs.
Give me any day the ones gathered in the morning, washed and sold a few hours later.
Now check out this calf, shown above and below. Isn't she the absolute cutest little creature?
How about this Mama cow? Oooeeee, now she must give a LOT of milk.
This horse is lovely, too. She must have a happy life, munching grass in an open field in the fresh air!
Awwwww, these little goats made me think of one thing. Chevre!
Now I LOVE chevre, or goat cheese. This farm doesn't make it, though, so I couldn't buy any.
Here are some of those chickens whose eggs I was talking about earlier!
Okay, everybody ready to sing? "Old McDonald had a farm, ee aye ee aye oh! And on that farm he had a..... "
ARE YOU A COUNTRY PERSON OR A CITY SLICKER?
