Birthdays should be greatly celebrated.
Cards, gifts, emails, texts, social media messages and, of course, phone calls were all part of this year's birthday celebration.
In addition, around here, it's the birthday month that is celebrated.
As always, on my birthday, I whispered a thank you to my late mom for having me.
She is somewhere in the great beyond, hopefully putting in a good word for me with Almighty God.
My greatest gifts this year were my grandchildren, both near and far.
Seeing their little faces, either in person or on computer screen, fills me with sheer joy and gratitude for being alive.
