Books as Gifts for Friends (and Me!)

In the movie, "Oliver," there's a song that goes "Food, glorious food, hot sausage and mustard..."

Do you know which one I mean?

Well, I could easily put different words to music. It would go, "Books, glorious books, You make life so happy!"

Yeah, books bring supreme joy.

No matter how many thousands we may have read, there are more to savor in the future.

Recently,  I attended a library used book sale.

An all volunteer organization raises money for the library by holding three mega sales a year. They are wonderful.

Shown in this post are some of the gems I got---- 14 of them---- and they didn't break the bank.  Ganga!

Some are going to be given as Christmas gifts, to friends, family and yours truly!  ha!

One of my hobbies is miniatures so I love the book, shown below,  by Brooke Tucker.

Another goal in mind is to attract more birds to our yard. Would ou believe I found the book below? And it came with a netted bag for birdfeed out in the backyard!

I also collect small Christmas books to keep in a basket on the bathroom counter so the one shown at the top is terrific!

I already finished reading "Silent Screams from the Hamptons." It was a riveting  story, extremely well written, and it gave a lot to think about pertaining to a wealthy lifestyle as well as the hazards of addictions.

Can't ever have enough books, now, can we?

WHEN YOU WANT  BOOKS FOR YOURSELF, WHAT  KIND DO YOU LOOK FOR?
