Lord, We Thank You

Lord, on this Sunday in autumn,
We thank You for abundance.

For crisp, sun-splashed autumn days
And cool, welcome nights.

For refreshing sleep
And then, sunshine in the morning.

We thank you for your kindness
And never ending love.

For every good thing You have created,
From the gorgeous colored leaves to bright, orange pumpkins.

 For all the wonderful fruits and vegetables
Grown by farmers and provided, so generously, to us.

For apples to be made into cinnamon-spiced sauce
And for lemons and limes to slice into cool water. 


Often, we take your gifts for granted
Never giving them much thought.


 But on this Sunday in autumn, Lord,
We thank You with all of our hearts.
