The first Sunday in the Christmas season is here!
It's a busy time of year, that's for sure.
Always I have heard that the older one got, the faster time sped by.
Well, even though I doubted that statement, it seems to have come true.
The days really do go by in a flash.
But each day is precious. Each day is an appreciated gift.
With that perspective, life, despite all its difficulties, is good.
It is my sincere hope that your day today will be blessed by the angels!
HOW IS THE HOLIDAY SEASON GOING FOR YOU SO FAR?
In the busyness of this holiday season, take time to be still.
"Be still and know that I am God."
How can we connect with our spiritual selves without silence?
Please don't get me wrong. I love to listen to Christmas carols.
As a matter of fact, except for the expense, I love just about everything about Christmas---the decorations, the gifts, the entertaining, the goodies and so on.
But, at times, it's important to just stop and think about why we celebrate.
It's so amazing to think of the humble circumstances of His birth.
Little Jesus was born in a cattle stall with hay and farm animals nearby.
What was it like that night? Were there lots of stars in the dark heavens or just that one huge one shining down on the manger? What were the smells? Was it chilly? Did the baby cry when He was born?
Thinking about the night that changed our world forever, I feel overwhelmed with love and gratitude.
When I look at an angel decoration or at Mary sitting by her baby, peace fills my heart.
Take a moment for contemplation and peace will fill your heart, too.
HOW DO YOU FIND TIME TO BE STILL DURING THE HOLIDAYS?
