Look Up!
There has been a lot of road widening around here, in the name of progress, of course.
Unfortunately, many, many fine old trees that have been waving in the breeze for a long time are being chopped down.
What is it about seeing a tree taken down that makes my heart ache so much?
Well, they've seen a lost of history. Some have probably been around for at least 100 years.
To see their huge trunks and sweeping branches succumb to the buzzing of saws is disheartening.
When one falls with a huge thud onto the ground, I want to weep.
Yesterday, when I was out and about, my eyes kept looking up.
The photos in this post are of trees that I hope will be spared.
DO YOU FEEL BADLY WHEN TREES ARE CUT DOWN?
