Sometimes it is extremely difficult.
However, if one looks around for little things to be happy about, they are there.
Today, I'm grateful for bright sunshine (despite cold temps outside).
For loved ones, both family members and friends.
For having a place to stay while permanent housing is sought.
Valentine flowers and the deep red glass vase they are in were a gift from my daughter.
Also, I'm grateful for my computer and cell phone, inroads to the outside world.
Brightly patterned socks, my Tiny Tears doll, the ability to go out and do errands, warm clothes, and on and on. All of these are reasons to smile.
