Why is it so hard for some women to be nice to everyone except themselves?
It's not selfish or guilt-producing to be good to one's self.
As a matter of fact, it's quite therapeutic.
Plus, it helps women to feel happy, fulfilled, and refreshed when they are good to themselves.
Women give a lot to others...to husbands,or boyfriends, to kids, to co-workers, to grandparents, aunts and uncles, and so on.
A favorite saying is "You cannot pour tea out of an empty pot." It is unknown who originated that saying but it sure is true.
Last week, leading up to Easter, I tried hard to do as many nice things for others as possible such as bake, send cards and emails, make phone calls, give small gifts, and so on.
So, when I saw a man selling beautiful flowers in front of store the day before Easter, I stopped and bought a truly gorgeous, flowering hyacinth for me! It is a mixture of deep pink and purple and is so lovely.
Another delightful purchase was a Yankee Candle in hydrangea scent that is divine. It's like bringing a flower garden inside the house.
It felt great to do something nice for others as well as for me.
After you buy yourself a little gift, step in front of a mirror, look into it, and repeat after me...."I'm worth it!"
WHAT CAN YOU DO THIS WEEK TO BE NICE TO YOURSELF?
