The Lord Has Risen!

Happy Easter to All!

Today is a glorious day for Christians as it signifies the Lord, Jesus Christ, rising from the dead!

The agony-filled passion and crucifixtion are over for He lives!

It is a day of celebration and joy.

Christian families will be eating special meals together and hundreds of kids will be opening Easter baskets that are filled with sweet treats.

Loved ones will receive beautiful flowers and other gifts.

Christ's immense love is now evident.  He died an agonizing death for the sins of His children and now has risen again.

His death and resurrection give hope and redemption.

No matter what is happening in the world, Christians can be assured that Christ lives and protects His followers.

WHAT, IF ANYTHING, IS ONE OF YOUR MOST POIGNANT EASTER MEMORIES?

He Is Risen!

If ever there was a holiday to celebrate, Easter is IT!

To think that the Lord arose from the dead, after the horrendous death He suffered, is just, well, glorious.

No matter what is happening in the world, when one believes in the Lord and focuses on Him, all is well.

As He said, "I have overcome the world."

In childhood, we always had new outfits with white gloves and hats.

To this day, I am deeply indebted to my parents for that.

They never had much money but wow, their five girls were dressed to the nines on Easter.

I especially remember wearing those gloves! Woo hoo!

Aunts who had no kids of their own always brought gorgeous Easter baskets to us.

It was the thrill of a lifetime and we waited for their cars to drive into the driveway on Easter morning.

Oh, such sweet memories of all the loved ones no longer on this earth.

What a reunion we will have one day.

By the way, the church in today's photos is not my church.

But it's pretty and I like visiting there from time to time.

It's located in Western Massachusetts (St. Charles.)

                                                                        (This is Pinkalina.)

In the meantime, hope you have a fabulous Easter, wherever you are.

Sending hugs to all from the whole gang and me!
