The Presence of Angels...

There are times in life when circumstances seem dark and foreboding.

It's hard to keep a positive outlook during these times, no matter how hard we try.

Perhaps it's all part of the human condition.

Life can be exquisite but it can also be tougher than a junkyard dog.

It's during dark times that calling upon angels helps.

Some people don't believe such creatures exist but they do.

It has even been stated by the Lord that "For to His angels, He's given a command, to guard you in all of your ways..."

Yes!  Our Heavenly Father sends us angels to help us.

No, they don't have wings or special dresses, like the sweet figure in today's photo.

He sometimes sends them in the forms of friends or other special people who show up to help us when we are at our lowest.

They fill us with hope and joy, then quietly go about their ways, leaving us much better off than we were before they stepped in.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE PRESENCE OF ANGELS?

Angel Watching Over You

Whenever angels come to mind, I feel happy.

It's nice to think celestial beings watch out for us, don't you think?

Certainly, when my children were teenagers and learned to drive, I called upon angels to protect them out on the roads.  They always did.

You know how mail order catalogs seem to multiply after you order something from just one of them?  Well, it's fun to at least look through them.

Because I try hard to refrain from spending money by buying more "things,"  looking through the catalogs is just for fun.

In one of them, I came across a darling little angel.

"Ohhhhh,"  I said to myself while looking at her picture, "she'd be nice to have. I could put her on a bookshelf or my bedroom dresser."

However,  she remained in the catalog because, quite honestly, I didn't "need" her.

Well, the other day, while browsing in a delightful country store (which you'll read more about in the future), I gasped.

There on a table was "the angel" from the catalog.  She's as charming as ever and much smaller than I envisioned her to be.

Was it a sign that I saw her in that shop?

Did I buy her?

Nope. But at least I know now where she can be purchased on-the-spot.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN ANGELS?  IF YES, DO YOU TALK WITH THEM?
