Isn't it amazing how certain memories from childhood stick with us even into old age?
In my maternal grandmother's house, the whitest kitchen curtains imaginable, were trimmed with gorgeous red borders that Grandma crocheted.
If I close my eyes, those curtains are still visible.
In a recent blog post, this blog featured a tea party gathering at my cousin's house.
If you missed it, and are interested in seeing it, click the link.
In the dining room, where we had the tea and goodies, the window had lovely white curtains with a wide border of beautiful crocheted edging at the bottom.
Grandma came to mind immediately.
Marianne, my cuzzie, also added a swag of red hearts, perfect for Valentine's Day
Down
below, on a cherished lace-covered table, was a deep amethyst decander
and matching glasses that my cousin bought recently at an estate sale.
Perfect!
AS YOU LOOK AROUND WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW, WHAT IS ONE THING YOU ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE?
