And the Winner Is.............

First of all, I want to wish each of you a satisfying and fun Saturday!


Now for the winner of the Giveaway, commemorating 1000 posts on Writing Straight from the Heart since the blog began in October of 2009.

The names of state-based Followers who indicated they wanted to participate were all written on little pieces of paper, folded over, and placed in a tin can that had nice scenes painted on the outside. 

(I absolutely love colorful tins, don't you?) 

A total of 20 Followers had their names put into the tin.

This morning, I asked my hubs to draw a name. 

So he stuck his hand into the tin and pulled out a piece of paper with  Sandie's  name on it. Sandie is from Georgia and the blog Chatty Crone.

Congratulations, Sandie. I'll try to get the package out to you on Monday!

For those of you experiencing hot weather, I just want to say try to keep cool today. Remember, this, too, shall pass. 
We'll be stoking up the fire in the fireplace before you know it!
