If you love Louisiana style cuisine and
get to Denver, Colorado, don’t miss going to Lucille’s Creole Cafe for breakfast.
There's usually a long line to get in but it's worth the wait!
Yum yum yum yum yum
I had poached eggs with a
totally delectable Hollandaise sauce on top of succulent beans with pieces of meat in them.
Also part of the memorable
breakfast was a small portion of home fries, grits, (not bad with warm syrup poured on them), spicy hot Louisiana sausage and a tender, flaky
biscuit.
Shown at the top of the post is the French toast,
ordered by one of our dining companions.
One of the diners at our
table also ordered beignets ---- warm rounds of doughy deliciousness---with a
thick coating of confectioner’s sugar on top. (Lord have mercy!)
These are very famous in New Orleans.

The chicory coffee was rich,
dark and delicious.
From start to finish, at Lucille's, breakfast is a meal to remember.
