Fabulous Flowers

Some people absolutely dislike faux flowers but others love them.

Faux flowers can be absolutely gorgeous.

There are so many colors and varieties to choose from that it's utterly amazing.

Many times it's totally impossible to tell the fake blooms from real ones unless a person feels them with the fingers.

There are some beauties in the crafts store, Michael's, and even some awesome fake blooms in Dollar Tree stores at this time of year.

A bit of lace, attached to an old jar or vase, can add a touch of loveliness.

Faux flowers, such as lilies, can be added to bouquets of living blooms.

That makes a bouquet fuller and more regal.

Adding a few sprigs of fake baby's breath works, too, to fluff out a bouquet of real flowers.

The stunning red roses shown in today's post are in a home where I recently stayed.

So, too, are the Yankee Candle angel candleholders.

They are so charming.

DO YOU EVER BUY FAUX FLOWERS?

Fabulous Flowers

Flowers have been the subject of untold numbers of posts on this blog.

That's because they bring so much joy and intense beauty into the world.

A bouquet of white roses in a round crystal vase have been gracing the kitchen table for almost two weeks now.

They have really brought so much loveliness into this house.

Today, there's a new floral bouquet on the kitchen counter, a gift from a friend who came to visit.

It's a splendid bouquet with green, pink, purple, yellow, and white flowers.

Toot, Toot, Toot the Horn for Trader Joe's

Readers of this blog have read (many times) about excursions to Trader Joe's.

Just in case you missed previous posts, let it be said here that I love this store. It's kind of like an international supermarket.

The nearest Trader Joe's to where I live requires a one-hour commute and then, of course, another hour to get back home.

It's worth every second.  I LOVE this store.

Look at the sweet paintings of these little cow-folk, shown above and below. Now somebody spent a lot of time painting those!

They always, and I mean always, have fabulous flowers for sale that people can afford without breaking the bank!

Even gorgeous orchids!

How I LOVE hyacinths. They smell so divine and  are like a breath of springtime.

Everyone has favorites that Trader Joe's carries. Among mine are some of the frozen Indian food, shredded wheat cereal,  many of their cheeses, and lassi, a yummified yogurt drink.

Have you ever gone into a store, seen something, didn't buy it, and then regretted it?  That's how I feel about this little pot of herbs. Darn!  Should have picked one up but didn't.

If Trader Joe's came to a community near here, I'd be their best customer!

IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO A TRADER JOE'S, WHAT DID YOU LIKE BEST? SHARE IT WITH US!
