Seeing the pictures on television of the tsunami, mightily sweeping away homes, cars, and entire neighborhoods, was absolutely devastating. We never know when life is going to end. Certainly many of the Japanese people who died yesterday didn't think about their lives ending when they woke up in the morning. Yet today, thousands are gone forever from this earth.
May all those who lost their lives rest in peace. The aftermath of that disaster is sure to take years to clean up. So many lives have been lost and so many more have been forever changed.
Today, in the midst of whatever you are doing, think of the people in Japan.
As for myself, I will never, ever again take even a moment of life for granted. Each moment is, indeed, a precious gift and none of us knows when the end will come.
HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN YOUR LIFE FOR GRANTED?
