The Second Sunday of Advent...

Here we are in the second Sunday of Advent.

We are coming closer to Christmas Day.

The most important part of the Christmas season is remembering the birth of the Christ child.

He's the Baby King who saved the world.

Of all the holiday decorations, displaying the manger scene, or creche, is very important.

In Christian homes, it is a way to teach children about the real meaning of  Christmas.

There are many manger scenes around this apartment.

The one shown at the top of this post is also a music box!

The other one sits on the kitchen table near the advent wreath.

Here's hoping your Sunday will be totally blessed.

Sunday, the Second Sunday of Advent

The holiday season is moving right along, keeping everyone busy shopping, planning, decorating, attending events, listening to Christmas carols, cooking, and baking.

It's a little bit stressful, too, trying to fit in all the hundreds of threads that make-up the season's blanket of love and peace.

One of many things still to be done around here is decorating the dolhouse for Christmas.

That will be left up to arrival of three of my five grandkids, later in the week.

But the tiny manger shown at the top of this post, surrounded by very small sheep, is already set up on the top level (attic) of the dollhouse.

It's actually a very small tree ornament that was given years ago.  Isn't it adorable?

May your weekend be completely blessed, despite all the long, (endless?)  "to do" lists.

Remember to recall and concentrate on  the real reason for the season.

Also, when stress rears its ugly head, trying to steal the joy of the season, remember to breathe deeply to relax.

Think profoundly of the immense blessings of the tiny  Christ child.

HOW DO YOU DE-STRESS DURING THIS HOLIDAY SEASON?
