Happy Day of Love!
Today is set aside for love.
Balloons, candlelight, cards, chocolates, dinners, flowers, and sparkling engagement rings rule the day.
It's good to celebrate but shouldn't every day be filled with love? Isn't it always time for tender kisses, the clasp of a lover's hand, a gentle embrace, or a call to a friend?
(Here's a special banner just for you, spotted in the supermarket!)
It's sweet to bring love into the limelight in such a special way but it's even more important to cherish, on a daily basis, the people in our lives who we love.
Life can be stressful. Problems, difficulties, and financial constraints can be like hammers driving wedges in relationships. But hard times can also be the cement which holds a relationship together.
A couple who has held each other in a time of sorrow or who has faced utter discouragement and come through it unscathed knows the true meaning of love. If a couple has supported each other through turmoil, job losses, and deep disappointments and comes out together to the other side, they have passed the test of endurance and perseverance.
Bring on the heart-shaped sugar cookies and click the wine glasses on this Valentine's Day but be determined to love to the hilt throughout every day of the year.
Day of Love Chuckle
Valentine's Day has come so fast
Think of the boyfriends from the past
Such an exercise brings on the sillies
Thinking of them gives one the willies!
Look in the eyes of the one you now love
Give thanks for the blessings to the One up above
In the game of love you're no longer a rookie
So have a loving day and go eat a cookie!
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone in blogland! Sending warm wishes and hugs!
