Honey, These Roses Are For You!

The flower prices had not yet been doubled for Mother's Day so one day this past week I bought a dozen of roses for my husband. Whenever he sees roses of any color, his whole face lights up.  The ones I purchased are deep apricot and yellow, an attractive combination.  They came from Colombia, South America.

Wow! They sure are well-traveled roses!

The look on my "love's" face  when I gave him the roses made the purchase worthwhile.  He put them in a vase, added some greenery from our yard, and placed them on the kitchen table.

Sitting at the table, the afternoon sun came streaming into the room and illuminated the roses.  It was as if someone had poured melted gold over the petals.  Filled with awe and excitement, I grabbed my camera (of course!) to take pictures for all my sweet blog friends. I wanted so much to share such beauty.

Hope you enjoy the roses in all their sun-splashed glory.

For all mothers out there, happy early Mother's Day. For those of you who are not mothers, the roses are for you, too, just for being YOU!

IF YOU COULD GET ANY GIFT YOUR HEART DESIRED FOR MOTHER'S DAY, WHAT WOULD IT BE? (Can't wait to read your answers!)

Susan these are some beautiful roses! Love the colors! I can see why they make him smile! For Mother's Day my perfect gift would be time with my children and my Mom all together!

What a lovely sentiment to send your hubby flowers. My kids know I love summer nightgowns, and they have finally started believing me when I ask for the same thing year after year. But the things that mean the most to me are handwritten from their hearts.

My most precious gift would be to have my children and grandchildren surround me at the dinner table.

The Mother's Day gift is not for myself, but for my Mom. I want to give her many more years of love and laughter. I'm blessed to have her as my Mom.

Hi: Isn't wonderful how you can become close friends with someone you have never met? That is how I feel about you. A dear and thoughtful friend. Thank you very much for your prayers, I really need them. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day. The flowers were very sweet of you. Blessings, Martha

You are so sweet to have gotten these for your love.
That was a revelation to me, that I should get flowers for mine occasionally, too.
he loves flowers, too! :)
My wish for Mother's Day would be to be with my mom. Sitting, laughing, sharing, hugging. Yeah. That would be my wish.
(She is in Florida, and I am not).

My husband loves flowers too but I've never bought them for him. You're a sweetheart, Susan!

For Mothers Day I would just love to do something fun with my family without anyone complaining. lol! Instead I'll go spend some time with my own Mom, which I'm sure she'll enjoy.

I hope you have a lovely day!
