The Faces of Fall for Cindy's Show and Tell Friday at "My Romantic Home"

Can you imagine what it would be like to be a scarecrow?

There cannot be much mobility. After all, you would be stuffed with straw.
Your "life" would definitely be seasonal. After all, who puts a scarecrow up in the middle of winter, when snow covers much of the earth?

No scarecrow would ever win a fashion contest. Usually, their decor is kind of ratty tat tat and covered with pieces of straw that fall down from their arms.

They don't go to the hairdressers'.  They don't have manicures or pedicures and they almost never wear jewelry.

Imagine scaring crows for a living?  What if one of those winged creatures refuses to be scared and swoops down on your hat?  Now that would not be fun.

Still, most scarecrows have sweet smiles on their faces, despite their lot in life.  Maybe humans could try to duplicate them!

Now here's one for the books---a scarecrow that's a, what?  A genuine, yellow beaked crow! For sure, his creator had a sense of humor! Now who is HE going to scare away?

Hope you check out Cindy's enchanting blog, My Romantic Home, http://romantichome.blogspot.com/  to see some of the other entries for Show and Tell Friday. Her blog button is in the sidebar to the right. Click on it and, just like a magic carpet, it will take you to Cindy's blog!

Have a wonderful fall, wherever you are.

I've always liked scarecrows. It wouldn't be fall without seeing them everywhere. Yours are really cute, so thanks for sharing.

Sorry if this gets posted twice. I had trouble posting so I had to reload.

How happy your yard must look with all those smiling faces. The scarecrow with the large brown hat is my favorite.
