I'll Love You Til the Cows Come Home

There's something fascinating about cows.

They go about their business calmly and peacefully.

They walk slowly, munch grass heartily, and seem to not let anything perturb them too much.

They are generous with their milk supply.

They enjoy the great outdoors, basking in the sun and looking up gently at strangers who come to gaze at them.

Humans, perhaps, can learn a lot from cows.

The photos in this post are of cows in a pasture in Western Massachusetts.  (I didn't ask their permission to be photographed.)

It is my sincere hope that your day today is as peaceful as the cows pictured in the photos.

DO YOU LIKE COWS?

Cows are beautiful, gentle creatures. After reading Quantum Wellness, I could never think of them again as a food source. After seeing a show about the meat industry, I knew I would never again eat meat. I'm sure you heard the news about Australia not wanting to export cows to Indonesia anymore because of the abuse they were putting the cows through before slaughtering them. Just awful! One of my best friends used to show cows when she was in 4H and was raised by a farmer, but she and her husband have recently become vegetarian and they are both loving it. Whenever I pass by a cows in pasture, I say "hello girls!" Someone used to do that but can't remember who now and it just stuck with me. Of course, whenever I see a field full of hay bales, I say "shredded wheat" and my kids think I am crazy. :) Hope your day is beautiful. Tammy (P.S. Thanks for your email.)

I DO love the serenity of the view of cattle in a pasture on on some rolling, green hills. We used to sing a chorus in church, "He owns the cattle on a thousand hills..." I usually sing this song in my mind - or out loud - when I pass scenes like this, remembering my Heavenly Father "owns" it all...
