Front Yard Flowers Explode with Color

Today we are joining Metamorphosis Monday, once again, on Susan's blog "Between Naps on the Porch."  Bloggers show projects they have worked on.

Planting flowers in one's front yard adds to the beauty of one's home.  In addition, front yard flowers allow a person to share the beauty of Mother Nature's gifts.

Neighbors and even total strangers passing by can be uplifted when they see lovely, colorful blooms.

My hubs is great at planting flowers along the brick walkway leading to our front steps. He also planted pretty impatiens at the base of a large tree in our front yard.

New this summer are brick borders under the tree as well as in a round flower garden that includes a tree stump.  Sadly, the tree that used to stand there died and falling branches became a nuisance as well as a liability. There was no choice but to remove the tree.

In the spring, I planted pink impatiens around the stump. At first, they looked very spindly and kind of sickly. However, they have filled out and now, the result, is attractive.

We also put flowers in the white window boxes and they have done well.

Summer and all its beauty does the heart good, don't you think?

DO YOU GROW FLOWERS IN YOUR FRONT YARD?

Your flowers are lovely and so colorful! Here most flowers burned to a crisp or boiled in the pots. Even our shrubs are brown and dead looking! I am glad you still have colorful blossoms there.

Your flowers are beautiful. My thumb is black. Ad to that the atrocious heat taht massacred most of the flora and fauna, not to mention the tomato crop.

These are so pretty! Thanks for sharing your pics with us. :) I have hanging flower baskets on my front porch, and also have potted petunias sitting on the porch. Didn't plant any flowers in the front beds, but we do have daylilies and black eyed susans, so that's a spot of color.
Have a wonderful week,
Karen

I wish I had a yard. Your flowers look great. It turned dusty here today and the drive home from work was so suffocating. Now I know why I stayed home in pajamas all the time. :/ Hope your day is great. Tammy

Very pretty Susan. I'd love you to come to my house and arrange some flowers for me.
