Wishing You Peace and Serenity Today

While walking in a small town this weekend,  my husband and I passed by a church.

In a side yard stood a statue of the Blessed Mother.  Stopping in front of her, I whispered a little prayer.  Her face was so pretty and smiling.  The sweet Baby Jesus was in her arms.

Bright magenta flowers grew at her feet. Above, the sky was a spectacular shade of blue with marshmallowy white clouds.

A huge evergreen tree grew nearby, too.

Here we were, in the middle of a busy street, yet this statue and its setting brought peace and serenity to our day.

Looking up at the nearby church, the sun glinted off the gold cross that jutted into the sky.  It was a beautiful moment.

So today, I'm wishing each person reading this post enough peace and serenity to make you smile!

WHAT ELSE BRINGS YOU PEACE AND SERENITY?

That was a beautiful garden Susan and I did feel at peace there.

I remember once before my hip surgery I went to our church during the day - and just sat in there and prayed all day - and I felt peace that I had never felt before.

The evening sky in shades of pinks and blues brings me a peaceful feeling.

Walking usually brings me peace and serenity but boy oh boy is it hot today. My first day back at school -- was pretty quiet, and shorter hours because of Ramadan. 8 am til 1 pm. Tomorrow I only have to work 9 til 1 so works for me. Nice to be able to slowly adjust to going back to work. Hope your day is great. Tammy

Very pretty statue and church. I love the architecture. What brings me peace and serenity? Hhhmmm...It just depends....there's so many things! Being outside on a glorious day, being around my loving and lovable companion...Vern, my dog! (and yes, hubby, too!)..etc. Truly...many more things!

Saying a prayer to the Blessed Mother is something I grew up with. I can't remember when I didn't. The Memorare along with the Hail Mary is a favorite of mine that I say every night.
