Children are special guests.
They see the world through different eyes than adults.
They find sheer delight in the smallest of things.
Stuffed beneath a shelf, I pulled out the box and looked inside. It was love at first "hop."
There were little bunny napkin rings, bunny soup cups with china spoons, and a big mama bunny pitcher. To fill it, one must life mama bunny's head off.
The entire box cost $7.50. This week, during a birthday dinner, I decided to set a table for the little guests. It was an instant hit. Even though it looked a little "springy," the little girls visiting absolutely loved it.
There was no yelling, crying, or sounds of "I want to go home." The little girls attending delighted in pouring orange juice from the pitcher, eating with their little spoons, and slipping the napkins out of the bunny holders.
The little diners had tiny cupcakes made just for them, too.
After everybody went home, while washing dishes, I couldn't help but chuckle. Inside the pitcher were French fries and even a piece of bread! Guess the little ones wanted to see things disappear inside the mama bunny's tummy.
In retrospect, that kids' china turned out to be a great purchase.
DO YOU SET A SEPARATE TABLE FOR LITTLE GUESTS?

I should say only that its awesome! The blog is informational and always produce amazing things. Thanks for sharing.
That is adorable and I bet the little one's enjoyed it. I will probably do a special table when my Grands are old enough...it seems like more fun for them sometimes...not every time.
these are sooo cute and love how you found the french fries in the mama's tummy...
Very, very cute!
Like Linda above, I sometimes set a separate table - but usually go to my basket of unbreakable children's plates & cups and let the children choose which "set" to use while at the "big" table... (which reminds me, I COULD post about that sometime).
I can see why this sweet set hopped right into your heart! Adorable! The little girls I know would love your table. Little girls appreciate such sweetness.
I really prefer the little ones to be right at the table with the adults but there got to be too many of them. So... the little ones all sit at the kitchen table and have their own get-together. They probably like it better that way but I still wish we had a table and room big enough for everyone to fit.
That was so CUTE! Gosh Susan you sure know how to throw a great party.
Years ago when we had family dinners and celebrations -we had a kids table - not any more!
Love,

That is a sweet dish set. Will be great for Easter too. I bet the little ones felt special. How funny that they were putting things in the bunny's tummy. Maybe they were feeding it. Ha! Those cupcakes look yummy! When I was growing up, the kids always had one table while the adults sat at another, but the dining room and kitchen were within steps of each other so we were all right there together as one big happy family. Best wishes for your day, Tammy
Oh yes, I do set a special table for little guests! Only the kids in our family circle are all out of that little stage...so the table decor has to be age appropriate...!
your set is darling! i know they were a big hit..that's a given, Susan!
thanks so much for sharing!

I am picking this up on the road...am in Southwest...but saw how cute your table was and had to say hi. Looks like fun...nice rabbits!
Your table looks cute but with two GRANDSONS I have purchased plastic dishware. I gave one a real glass the last time they were here and they promptly broke it...glass all over the place. Oh well. Maybe someday I'll have a grandchild who is a girl!
So cute!
Your post really straight from my heart as your blog title. This post have a huge collection of gifts for children. Brief description of gifts makes it blog very attractive and popular.
