One of the hardest things to do is to live in the moment.
If you are anything like me, you know how easy it is to slip into worry mode and "what if" thinking. When that happens, it's like a huge black cloud that creeps in front of the sun. It blackens everything in sight.
A lot of the "what if" situations that come into my mind don't ever transpire. (Thank God.)
Living in the moment helps me to appreciate the very smallest things in life. It allows me to look at, for example, the rose in the photograph above. It's so simple yet so incredibly beautiful.
The cut glass pitcher it's in, picked up at a yard sale, adds to its loveliness.
ARE YOU ABLE TO JUST LIVE IN THE MOMENT?

Thank you for your reflection. I needed to be reminded of this today. Things can change so quickly over night. Living in the moment is the wisest thing anyone can do.

Living in the moment is a hard one for me. I'm working on it. You are right though. Most of what we worry will happen never does.
"From this moment on" "I'm gonna live till I die" and "put on a happy face".
Living in the moment, I am convinced is one of the secrets to a content life. I try so hard not to let the what ifs enter in to melt my peace.

Lovely rose vignette and words as well! :)
Sometimes I really do 'live in the moment' but other times I let worries intrude upon me. The rose is lovely and does remind us to stop and smell them!
I like the quote: Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but gets you nowhere.
The only time I dwell is when something happens and I wish I had either reacted or responded differently. If I did something out of my character, then I will worry about that.
My husband has become a bit of a worry wart whereas I just tend to be in the moment. It really is all we have. Hope your day is beautiful. Tammy
I am learning to do this... Being able to do it is a blessing...
Those rose is beautiful and while it sounds easy - it is hard to live in the moment. sandie
