Today we are joining Show and Tell Friday at Cindy's My Romantic Home and Diann's Thrifty Things Friday at The Thrifty Groove.
The next best thing to finding thrift store treasures is showing them to dear blog friends.
Honestly, it was hard to rein in my enthusiasm over a new haul of great finds. My first thought, after being filled with gratitude, was "I can't wait to show my blog friends what I found."
Isn't it funny how we connect, even though we've never met face-to-face? We are kindred spirits, happy for each other when we find new treasures at good prices.
So, here are some new finds picked up during a delightful thrifting afternoon with my daughter.
At a Goodwill Store, I found these very nice fall themed items. Look at these beautiful sunflower plates----79 cents each for the little ones, $1.70 for the dinner plate:
How about this pretty fall tray, covered with leaves? 79 cents!
My favorite find of the day is this beautifully hand-painted and differently shaped pitcher from Portugal which cost a mere $6.99.
At a Salvation Army, found this tin which will be perfect for filling with, what else? Snickers bars, of course, will go into it this Christmas, for some lucky kid.
I always need trays for cookies at holiday time. This "silver" one was 49 cents, and it's plastic, of course.
Isn't this little green number adorable? It's plastic, too, but for 50 cents, I couldn't resist. Won't it be pretty filled with some pink roses?
So, thanks for looking at my treasures. Hope you, too, have good luck next time you go thrifting.

Okay, without a doubt, I would have snatched all these wonderful treasures up myself had I seen them! that pitcher is just gorgeous! Love the teapot! And the sunflower plates, oh yeah, they would have been in my cart! Great finds! Thank you for joining TTF and have a fun weekend!
Hi Susan...all lovely items! I've had to stop doing any shopping...thrifty or otherwise, since we are going to down-size sometime in the near future. I have so many beautiful dish, plate, bowl, vase things...that I'll have to pare down. Maybe some will be included in upcoming Give-Aways! :)
All of these are beautiful. I have no room for any treasures. I am trying to downsize. But, if I had room, I'd love to find some treasures like this.
You must have had a very good time shopping Susan...I see you found lots of new treasures. I do not indulge in such things though....but I'm glad you had such fun.
Susan you did indeed find some wonderful fall items! I love those plates! I am going to check out my fall items and see if there might be room for a few more and then go shopping! hugs, Linda
You and I have similar tastes. I think I would have walked away with those exact same things. That pitcher is fabulous! And the Fall items a great find for this time of year. Have a wonderful weekend. :) Tammy
I share your excitement, Susan. I'm even fascinated by that 50 cent green plastic piece! I've never seen anything like it.
The pitcher is amazing, and I try to keep a sane supply of platters & tins for delivering "goodies" to friends or for gift boxes (tins), etc.
Enjoy!
that pitcher does it for me. It is so unusual. you ave an eye for decorating, Susan. Thanks for your comments too :)
Lots of special finds! Wish I was the lucky kid getting a tin full of Snickers for Christmas ;)
