Savor the Season

Today is October 2nd. We are at the beginning of a whole new month.

What do you want to accomplish this month?

What would you like to see happen in your life?

What do you want to complete before the cold season comes?

What do you love most about autumn?

Take time to contemplate the answers to these questions. We are all so accustomed to hurry, hurry, hurrying.

This is a sweet and sumptuous season. There are bright colors, cool temperatures, brilliant sunshine, and breathtaking foliage.

Of course, it will all pass quickly, so savor each second.  This life is never going to be repeated. Once our earthy lives are over, they are over.

So today, take time to feast your eyes upon the scenes of the season. Relish the color of pumpkins, the fluffiness of the clouds, the last choruses of birds before they fly south for the winter.

Today, my wish for you is a happy heart.

WHAT ARE SOME ANSWERS TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS THAT YOU WOULDN'T MIND SHARING?

I want to paint my shed! I bought the paint a couple of months ago but have been waiting for it to cool down. I also want to go room by room and clean things out and get organized. I wish our tree's looked like your pictures. I live in Texas we only have two seasons... Hot and Friggin HOT.

October is my birthday month and I love the whole month that will fly by. Our town parade and fall celebration occurs...DH wants college football games. I want to see grandbabies. All is hampered this year by my being on jury duty call for the month...nothing can be planned with certainity. I will do my best with the days I have!

Morning! I just have to say your blog makes me think. You pose your questions and right away I start to answer them in my head and I start to feel soooo good. Thank you! Autumn means change and excitement to me and cozy nights and resting up after a busy gardening season. I love the chestnuts, red leaves and the smell of woodsmoke on the air amongst the pines. Have a great week! Kit

What was the question again? ha! :)

I wish we had bright colors, cooler temperatures and breathtaking foliage. Everything always looks the same here.

I wish I could accomplish something. Today I just feel sooooooooooooooooooo tired. I'm going to hit the hay early. Goodnite! Tammy

I hope to get out in the gardens one last time to clean up better so it will make spring easier. The best part of autumn that I love is walking in the crisp smelling air and crunching on some leaves.
Hugs,
Ellen
