Valentine Week Breakfast

Oh, don't you absolutely love decorating for Valentine's Day?

It's such a great holiday to celebrate! Love!

How can anyone go wrong decorating for such a special occasion?

We had two special guests, our daughter and son-in-law, over for a Sunday Valentine's week breakfast.  I wanted the kitchen table to look like one great big valentine so I put a plain, clean white sheet down on it first.

Then came the open cut work red tablecloth with the lace edges. This is a fairly new acquisition. It's red enough to make you blink!  BAM!  woo hoo.  Love it!

Added heart-covered placemats.

Used Bavarian dishes with sweet little roses that my daughter and son-in-law gifted me with on my last birthday. I LOVE this china and wanted it for a long, long time.

Napkins with great big pink roses covered each dish. You can see what one looked like in the photo at the top of this post.

A rose wreath sat in the middle of the table with a red (of course) candle holder and candle.

Menu:  Huevos rancheros (eggs in salsa)
            Warm tortillas (big flour ones)
Frijoles (small red beans, smooshed and fried in oil and onions. Served
                            with sour cream.)
             Crisp bacon
             Chunks of cantaloupe
             Orange juice
             Water in
Fresh coffee with half and half

Two pink satiny stuffed hearts served as fork holders.

Tah dah!  It turned out to be a "love"ly breakfast celebration for the start of Valentine's week.

DO YOU DO ANYTHING SPECIAL TO CELEBRATE VALENTINE'S DAY?

I love your beautiful Valentine's breakfast table. What a special breakfast to make for your daughter and her hubby.
I am ashamed to say I rarely decorate for Valentines day. I just am too exhausted after getting all the Christmas stuff put away. I just can't stand the thought of doing it again in February.
I enjoy everyone's decorations though! Happy Valentines day!

We have a nice dinner at home and exchange cards and usually chocolate! That's enough for me. This year I have some goodies for Tiger also. Hugs, Linda
