Look Up!

I have a thing for ceilings.

Wherever I am----at a concert, in a mall, at a museum or play, and in hotels--- the first thing I usually do is look up at the ceiling. Is that weird or what?

On a recent whirlwind weekend trip to Boston to see my sister who was visiting there from California, the ceilings I saw did not disappoint at all.

Just look at the ceiling in the lobby of the Marriott Hotel in the downtown.  Isn't it splendorous?

It had thin panels of lights suspended from the glass enclosure in the ceiling.  Enchanting, even  in the daytime!

How about one below, snapped inside Boston Symphony Hall?  Looks like a firecracker, don't you think?

The  photo right below and the one at the top of this post were taken in the restaurant, the Cheesecake Factory.

The one at the top of the post was shot in natural light and the one below was taken with a flash.

This glass panel was also in the Cheesecake Factory.

So next time you are in a new building, look up!  You never know what you are going to find.

DO YOU EVER NOTICE CEILINGS?

Oh yes, I notice ceilings all the time! I love the ones you've posted! I even notice ceilings in homes. I think they are a very important aspect of home decor!

Enjoy your day! Thanks for your post!

Hi Susan,
Well, I don't look up enough! Great views you have found! I like the light panels, they look like wings in the second pic...
Hugs,
