Small Mirrored Curio Cabinet

There's a church thrift shop in a nice area of Connecticut that we pass every time we go to a friend's beach house.

Last summer when we made a trip to the beach, we stopped at the shop.

After all, thrift store shopping is one of the things I love most to do on vacation  (or any other time, too. ha!)

I saw the little curio cabinet that's shown in today's post and immediately loved it.

In perfect condition, the price was not too steep at $9.99.

It's a very pretty piece.

It has glass shelves, a glass door and top, and mirrored back.

It's always fun placing different objects on the shelves because they are reflected in the mirrors.

I'm forever changing the contents of then cabinet and usually include special decor for whatever holiday is coming.

Photographing the cabinet with its mirrored back, however, turned out to be quite the unexpected challenge.

No matter where I stood, sat, squatted, etc., part of "me" got into the mirrored background.

It's amazing that one photo, and one only, came out without the camera, a finger, or my nightgown sleeve showing in the mirrors.

Now, let's test your observation powers.

See if you can find that one photo.

Today we are joining Home and Garden Thursday on Kathy's blog, A Delightsome Life.

Today's theme is crafting and thrifting.
Just click the box below and, just like a magic carpet, it will take you to her blog. Have fun looking at all the wonderful party participants!

Long ago I had one of these! I am not sure where it went. I kept a butterfly and some buckeye stones in it my great grandfather carried in a pocket. Hum, wonder where those went as well????

Number 2? I think all the pictures are great no matter what part of you is showing in the mirror.
