Angel Watching Over You

Whenever angels come to mind, I feel happy.

It's nice to think celestial beings watch out for us, don't you think?

Certainly, when my children were teenagers and learned to drive, I called upon angels to protect them out on the roads.  They always did.

You know how mail order catalogs seem to multiply after you order something from just one of them?  Well, it's fun to at least look through them.

Because I try hard to refrain from spending money by buying more "things,"  looking through the catalogs is just for fun.

In one of them, I came across a darling little angel.

"Ohhhhh,"  I said to myself while looking at her picture, "she'd be nice to have. I could put her on a bookshelf or my bedroom dresser."

However,  she remained in the catalog because, quite honestly, I didn't "need" her.

Well, the other day, while browsing in a delightful country store (which you'll read more about in the future), I gasped.

There on a table was "the angel" from the catalog.  She's as charming as ever and much smaller than I envisioned her to be.

Was it a sign that I saw her in that shop?

Did I buy her?

Nope. But at least I know now where she can be purchased on-the-spot.

I do love angels too. I don't talk to them though I probably could talk to my guardian angel. I do pray for God's angels though to protect and guard and help those I pray for. I love looking at ornamental angels too. Mom, and sis and I all used to have some but I don't have any more.

Have a lovely week ahead and thanks for stopping by.

I do believe in angels and talk to them every day, they have helped me a lot. I love Angels and I believe it's good to have one or a few in your home. I have one at my night stand. Have a lovely week Susan, and thank you for your inspiring posts.

I figure the big guy is very busy with the big stuff, so I call upon angels all of the time to say Thanks or Help.

This reminds me of Psalm 91 where it says that He will give His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. Thank you for this wonderful and timely reminder!

Have a great week! :)

Hi Susan,
I admire your willpower in not buying that cute angel ... twice!
I know I'd not be able to resist her :-)
Yes I do believe in angels and have a Guardian Angel that watches over me and talk to "him" often!
Enjoy a blessed day!

I have no doubt that there have many instances when angels have watched over me and carried me on their backs. I think that sweet little angel is calling out to you "come get me". :) Have a great day! Tammy

Yes I DO believe in angels and so ironic that one of the comments (Karen Lange) mentioned Psalms 91 and the reference to angels having charge over us. For it was that chapter of scripture that I clung to back in August 1994 when I was about to go in to have surgery to repair a ruptured brain aneurysm. While I was waiting in pre-op and alone or so I thought...I reminded myself of this precious promise from God and as I did I literally saw 4 very large angels surrounding the gurney where I was laying. They were in a kneeling position with huge wings extended and wore white. I could not see their faces. But with that vision I had such peace that came over me. I came through the surgery fine with no side effects and I thank God for giving me that assurance at a time when I needed it the most!
