Bridal Shower Favor Cake
What you are seeing in this post is a "cake" that really turned out to be take-home favors.
Isn't it absolutely adorable?
Remember I went to a bridal shower last weekend, right on the shores of a beautiful lake?
Well, at the end of the lovely event, the hostess brought out this "cake" that really was little individual boxes filled with round cookies, often called "Mexican wedding cookies" or "Russian teacakes."
They are rounds of dough, rolled in confectionary sugar.
Anyway, the hostess said she found the boxes, un-assembled, at the Christmas Tree Shops. Once they were all put together, she stuffed them with three cookies inside little plastic bags.
Into the middle of the "cake" went a floral arrangement. The whole thing was served on a footed platter.
So pretty!
At the shower, there were many touches of lavender. Guests also played bridal bingo on lace-covered tables.
WHAT TAKE-HOME SHOWER FAVOR DID YOU ENJOY THE MOST?

Hi Susan: I have never seen a favor so cute! I love how people can be so clever. It looks like the whole party was wonderful. Hope you are doing well. Take care of yourself. Hugs, Martha
What a great idea! And I love those little tea cakes! I used to make them frequently (before we turned into a gluten free household).
