The Doors Have It!

When visiting towns or cities other than the place where we live, I love looking at doors and architecture of buildings.

How about you?  Do both of those attract your rapt attention?

Recently, while in a quaint, New England town, Stockbridge, home of the Red Lion Inn and where the late Norman Rockwell's studio is located, a pair of doors really caught my attention.

They are the prettiest color blue, almost like the color of robins' eggs. (They lead to a photography business.)

In big cities, I'm always looking up the towering sides of skyscrapers.

Even in small towns, like Stockbridge,  I have a tendency to look up and start snapping my camera.

This is what one can see by looking up in one part of Stockbridge:

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR WHEN VISITING A PLACE OTHER THAN YOUR HOME TOWN?

I enjoy looking at architecture too. My friend had a bright red door on her home. This blue one is eye-catching.

I like to find the "town square," if there is one in the town's design. I must say, though, that I have never seen doors quite that blue before!:)

Ocean shots because I live inland and don't see the ocean that often.

I love that color blue - you know my nephew lived in the Boston area and he said that everyone had a red door.

Oh Susan, you're my twin!! I love doors too. My favorite were in Dublin and are pretty famous since each one is painted a different color. These blue doors are pretty fabulous. XOXO
