Note to God

Dear Heavenly Father:

It's almost Thanksgiving.

That's a day when people all over the United States eat big turkey dinners, watch football and spend precious time with family and friends.

It's also a day to really thank You for all the abundant blessings in our lives.

But You know what, Father?

Every day should be Thanksgiving.

You have blessed our lives so richly.

Just this weekend, coming out of the supermarket, I looked up and saw your handiwork in the sky.

It was soooooo beautiful that it almost made me cry.

I was immensely glad my handy little Kodak camera was in my purse so I was able to capture these photos in this post today.

Of course, they are not nearly as magnificent as the sight you gave to your children that late chilly afternoon in New England.

So Father, I just wanted to say thanks for the sunset shots, for the sunset, for the tree silhouettes against the pink, purple and golden sky, and for eyesight to see it all.

You are an awesome God!

WHAT IS THE LAST GIFT GOD GAVE TO YOU?

Healthy, inquisitive, happy grandchildren...with a new granddaughter on the way! Our oldest daughter and her husband will be adding to their family and Maddie will have a little sister, Emmie (short for Emersyn) in the next few months. Blessed indeed! XOXO

Most recent blessing was the latest breath I took! Greatest gift, I think, is the peace in my heart from knowing that Christ is my Savior and I have an eternal home in Heaven some day! Nothing can take the place of that in my heart! :-) Have a blessed day, Susan!

The sky shots were beautiful - the clouds with red in them I don't remember if I remember seeing any like those. But I agree every day can be Thanksgiving day. sandie
