Bargain Angels Add a Touch of Elegance

Last fall at a church yard sale, three  chubby angels, playing musical instruments, caught my eye.

They were gold colored, about a foot high and just adorable.

I looked at the price tags and just about flipped. Each one cost a quarter so I bought them. Three angels for less than a dollar sounded good to me.

This past Christmas, I hung a couple from brass candle holders on either side of the fireplace. The third just kind of hung out on the mantle next to the cousin!

They joined a sparkling sleigh with an attractive floral arrangement pulled by two additionally shimmering reindeer.

Instead of garland with white lights on the mantle this year, we opted for flickering votive candles. They added a nice touch.

The decision to let the Christmas decor stay up until January 6 has been made.

I know that when the pretty angels are packed away, I'll miss them.

DO YOU DECORATE WITH ANGELS?

Your angels are gorgeous! I don't decorate a lot with angels. I think this season I had two out amongst my decorations.
I found a large angel today when I was sorting through some things in storage. I am going to spray paint it white and hang in my craft room.

I really do not decorate with angels, but I love to put out some snowmen! You see, I'm just an old fussbudget, and the Bible references to angels mentions them as being male, while many of the angels we find in stores are obviously female. I do believe that there are guardian angels, and they might be of both genders, but as I said, I'm just an old fussbudget about that! Love your beautiful decorations, anyway! :-)

I have an angel in the bathroom this year! You will miss your angels but think how grand it will be to see them fresh again next year!

I compromised yesterday. I took down porch lights and tree. I will leave all else up for a while. I am not anxious to give up the reds or many tiny white lighs in vases to winter's bleakness.

Beautiful! I have some little Lefton Angles I decorate with at Christmas. I'm leaving my decorations up until New Year's day then the snowmen will come out to play!

An angel is always at the top of our tree, and I have an additional display of angels on top of the sideboard in the dining room.

Twelfth Night - or Epiphany - is when I will be storing our things away for another year.

Your display is lovely, Susan!

No I don't have any angels, I did have one very lovely glass angel I hung on the tree but she was very delicate and broke a years back. I do have a fairy picture in my lounge room. Your angels are very cute.

I just got my tree up will take it down tomorrow. I need to have everything back in place so I can get the rest of my work done for the trade show I attend in January when the guys leave on Sunday. I love seeing the details you put into every holiday and this one has been spectacular! XOXO

I decorated with angels year round!! They are very much part of my "normal" decor!! Loving the Victorian style, cherubs and angels are a big part of it. I have similar gold angels that stay out year long!!

Wishing you a very Happy and Helathy New Year, Susan!

Hugs,
Deb
