Christmas, All Through the House

Today we are joining the Home party at Sandi's blog, Rose Chintz Cottage.

Click on the blue letters and it will take you to her enchanting blog where you will step into some fabulous homes to see how everyone decorates for Christmas!

In our home, a balsam candle burns on the table in the front hall.

The lights of the Christmas tree create a wondrous atmosphere in the living room.

Outside, more white lights in the front yard create a chilly mini-wonderland.

There are several holiday gatherings to attend, family and friends to see, calls to be made and delicious meals to be prepared and eaten.

Music of the season lifts hearts as we hum along with old familiar tunes.

All of this magic happens because of one precious baby's birth so long ago.

The Prince of Peace continues to fill hearts and shower his children with love, without measure.

All through the season there are decorations that make us smile and feel like children again.

Even when the world around us spins in confusion and violent acts, we can find peace and comfort in the little babe who changed the world.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF CHRISTMAS?

Susan - I have to tell you - your Christmas tree looks like it is right out of a magazine - fantastic. I love it.

The best part is sitting around the tree opening presents and around the table feasting with family. Yes mostly family, especially the children.x

I'm really not a Grinch, but the tree is still not up, there's packages to be wrapped, and my oven will be hit or miss until a part comes in...after Christmas, of course. I do love seeing your beautiful lights and living vicariously through you, my friend, XOXO

My favorite part of Christmas, aside from the obvious enjoyment of family gatherings, is the presentation of a wonderful cantata by our church choir each year! We are a small group, but the love of God is in our midst, and we who sing are more blessed than those who are listening, I believe! That little Baby brought all of us such a magnificent and blessed hope that we just HAVE to sing about Him and love Him!

I do love your special decorative touches, and I'm sure your entire home is vibrant with the colors, sounds, and aromas of the Season! Thank you for sharing a bit of it with us! :-)

No doubt, you and your house are ready as the season is coming to its peak. I think the sense of expectation is the best part. Like a child, we long for and wait for
Christmas Day.

Holiday music. My five year old granddaughter and I drive to school singing carols tuned the radio station. Love it!

Beautiful post Susan! You're tree is a work of art! My least favorite part is shopping. My favorite part is seeing family and friends and in a constant state of celebration. Jesus brought us a message of love and at this time of year, people often stop for a minute to let others know they are special and important in their lives. The message of love continues on, even a few thousand years later! Merry Christmas and blessings in the new year.

Such a festive atmosphere, Susan! Well done!

Christmas just all blends together for me. The best part, of course, is when all the family is able to be together. Yet, we try to make that happen several times during the year, so to be more specific to Christmas it would have to be the candlelight Christmas Eve service when the Christ candle is lit on the Advent wreath.

Oh - I love Christmas morning breakfast, too!:-)

Sending you Merry Christmas wishes, Susan!

Hello Susan,
What a beautiful post! Your tree and decorations are lovely and I especially liked your message. My favourite part of Christmas is simply spending it with my family, whether we are opening presents, eating good food, or just enjoying sitting around chatting. My family is the best and I thank the Lord for them. Merry Christmas, my friend, and enjoy this beautiful season with those you love. Thank you for sharing with us.

Christmas blessings,
Sandi

My favorite part of Christmas --- is having my family home. But I also love the lights, the special foods, and tradition.
