Holiday Appetizers for Hardy Appetites

The holidays are synonymous with delicious appetizers.

Recently, at a gathering, a very fabulous cook brought some "yummified" appetizers that were as good to look at as they were to eat!

Look at the darling cheese "Christmas" tree with sprigs of thyme, shown at the top of this post!

Then, there were these little hot dogs wrapped in dough, in the shape of a wreath, with red pepper bow.  A delicious cranberry dip, in a hollowed out red pepper, accompanied them!

There were spinach mini quiches, too!

Last, but most certainly not least, check out this luscious baked brie cheese in puff pastry!

Anyone need a caterer?

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY SNACKS?

It all looks good, Susan. However, I have to admit that the eating has been so heavy that relief from celebrations is begining to look good!
Favorite item this week is my own homemade pimento cheese...I have eaten by forkful!

Oh, yum! All of this looks SO GOOD! In another life, we actually catered for four years. Rather stressful work.
I like the cheese tree and just may copy that idea. I've done a similar arrangement with broccoli florets on a cauliflower bed of "snow" with colored pepper stars and strings of lights.:-)

Enjoy your Thursday!

Looks wonderful!!! I made some sausage balls and a sweet potato casserole for work. Our family party is Saturday so lots of fun finger foods to make then.

I love hot artichoke and spinach dip with bread squares to soak it up...
These all look very festive!

Oh, what a yummy post, Susan! I love the quiches! The cheese tree is a cute idea and I will have to remember that one. I served those little pigs in blankets last weekend and I wish I had thought to make them into a wreath. Next time, I will.
Thanks for the inspiration and for your visits. I'm glad you liked my wee tree in a cup. Merry Christmas to you and your family

Christmas blessings,
Sandi

I am not very artistic when it comes to food presentation---I can sling a dish on the table, but it will not resemble a picture from a magazine! One of the most-requested things that I make is spinach balls, and they are quite easy, so I try to do them at least once or twice during this season. Even with the butter and bread crumbs, I tell folks that spinach is good for us! :-)

What a neat idea to make a Christmas tree from the appetizers! I'll bet even I could manage that one. :)
