The Fire Is So Delightful

This is the best place to be at this time.

It's warm and cozy hunkered down on the sofa in front of the fireplace.

Outside, blizzard conditions have turned everything in to a whirling mish mash of snow, ice and bitterly cold winds.

Two events are scheduled for today, one in the afternoon and one at night but it's anyone's guest whether they will take place or not.

We'll just have to wait and see and take one moment at a time.

I feel sorry for the workers who have to face the elements to plow the streets, the medical personnel who man hospitals and nursing homes, and for police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians who have to go out into the elements, like it or not.

IS IT SNOWING WHERE YOU LIVE?

hi, Susan!:) I LOVE fireplace! Always wanted to have such:) Looks incredibly cozy and homely!
Well, It's not snowing in the city I live in (it's +19 in day time), but it's snowing up in the Himalayas these days for sure!
Happy New Year in advance ***

Hi Susan, that fire place looks very nice and cozy. It is not snowing here in Ireland, instead we have rain and strong cold winds. I'd prefer the snow though.

We kind of have the same conditions here - except no fire :(

I'm hoping to venture out early this morning to shop for my part of the food for our BIG 3-day extended family gathering. It was just too nasty yesterday.

Did I say "I ♥ your fire"?

It is not snowing in St. Louis, MO. The snow missed us by only a few miles. Your fireplace looks very welcoming. I can sit by a fire for hours and watch it crackle and spark. Stay warm. I worry about the homeless, who unlike those who have to work and be out in it, are not dressed for it and have no escape.

We have 30-degrees, but no snow, which is plenty good for me. Your fire is gorgeous.

Even this morning hour, the fire looks inviting because the house is cold. Can't complain though as we have no other bad weather features. Snow maybe on new year's they say now. I love a good snow, one that confines us safely inside. I, too, hate to hear of people suffering in the cold...in all the nasty weather that seems to abound lately. Enjoy your fire and stay tucked safely inside!

Love a fireplace! Ours are gas, but still....the flames are wonderfully inviting.
We have snow, windy today. Only got about an inch or 2 each time it snowed. (Christmas Eve and yesterday)
Going to get a book now and go lay by the fire.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Hello from Spain: I agree with you. The best place in winter is our home and near a warm fireplace. It is the best plan. Keep in touch

The only snow we have is up in the Cascades...and boy is it snowing there! Nope, we have rain, but that's fine with me. Stay warm and cozy by that lovely fire, XOXO

I heard you had a lot of snow - How much snow did you get? Did you go out yesterday? We are a little cold, but no snow. LOL!

It never snows where I live but the winters can be cold, we have a fireplace at our house and it is the best place to be when it's cold.

Hi Susan - hope that all is well. Snow can be fun if you don't have to really go anywhere and can stay inside to enjoy it's beauty. We've been getting snow daily but it's nothing to write home about.

Hope that you had a wonderful Christmas!

That does look like it would be a very cozy place to relax. More folks should try and stay home when the weather is frightful yet there's always those that always feel like they have to go, go, go no matter what. Stay warm and cozy, Tammy

Susan,
Yes, we have snow here 3inches the other day and 6 inches yesterday!
I want to THANK you for thinking of those that have to brave the elements because of their job. Joe is a letter carrier and has to walk through the snow. He fell 3 times yesterday and that was with his ice grips on his shoes. I work in a hospital and had to drive to work both days through the snow.
Your kind thoughts about those of us who have to go out in the elements are greatly appreciated!

Hugs,
Deb

No snow in So. Cal...but it has been very chilly. I have had a fire going in my fireplace for the last three nights and love it. Stay warm.

It also has a best bluetooth speakers decent high output for a sixty-five inch
subwoofer. You will enjoy every moment of listening to your
favorite tunes out loud while working in your garden or relaxing on the porch.
They should believe that you believe what you are talking about.
This is available on most types of iPods.
