An "Angel" of a Card

This past Christmas, fewer people sent cards than ever before.

Still, we received several dozen and I was so grateful as that's one tradition I hope will never be completely forsaken.

For me sending and receiving cards is part of the joy of the season.

My all-time favorite card from the 2012 holidays is the one shown in this post.

It was actually from one of my sisters.

The little angel, flying over a snowy village, is just the sweetest little thing.

And soft snow falls over the entire scene!

What cannot be detected in the photos are her sparkling wings.  They just light up like you wouldn't believe.

They are paper thin and crinkly.

The artist who designed this card gets an A+.

It makes my heart happy every time I look at it!

DO YOU LIKE SENDING AND  RECEIVING GREETING CARDS?

I love sending and receiving cards! Every day note cards, birthdays, holidays, and especially Christmas...but I didn't do very well this year! Ran out of time, and just didn't have the desire for some reason. I think it was a combination of different things. Maybe I'll send out Valentine's cards instead! :)

I do enjoy sending and receiving cards. I am sad that I did not get any sent out this past Christmas! Hopefully next year I will. Sweet card for sure.

Funny you should ask! I just got done going through a stack of them. I cut some pictures out, sized some of them to postcard size, made a collection of snowmen pictures to send to a grandson who has a January birthday, and pulled out some kittens to give to a cat-loving friend who has been down with the flu. I can hardly stand to throw ANY away, but there are limits :)

I have enough gift tags to carry me through the next 5-10 Christmas seasons, too.

Love cards but did not send as many this year and I noticed several usual people did not send out cards this year.

I love sending and receiving cards, but did not get any mailed out this past season, due to my lack of organization/planning. I did manage to get all the ones addressed for our church members, and we have boxes in the foyer for each of them, so no postage or addresses were involved. It's always interesting to me that, even in our small community, there are rarely duplicates of the lovely scenes on the cards. It is a lovely tradition that I hope will remain for a long time!!

I always send out more cards than I get but then again, sometimes, I get cards from someone I didn't send a card to. It never fails.

Hi Susan, oh yes, I send Christmas cards! I have owned a Hallmark store and an independent card shoppe in the past and still LOVE cards. Jim's friends and family are all in the midwest, so we like to connect with them at least at Christmas.
We send out about 150 and probably get about 70 back. I don't care about that. I do enjoy finding a card or letter in my mailbox!
Have a good one.
Love,
Linda

Hello from Spain: I received this year only two cards in my mailbox. All congratulations are online. I'm sending the typical paper cards. I am a classic. There are traditions that can not disappear. Very nice postcard sent your sister. Keep in touch

The card is truly lovely....I have seen cards that are framed and displayed at Christmas...very pretty to add to a shelf or sit on a desk. I do like to receive cards and send them. I can remember filling a wall with cards we received each Christmas.

Love love cards. I got over sixty five for Christmas.. Now two of my friends decided they would email their cards to me. It just is not the same and they won't be getting a card from me next year..ha. I think taking the time to hand write a card and send it out is what it is all about. Glad you enjoyed the card from our sister.
