Thanks, Linda! I have a lot of gratitude for you!
Of all the gifts my parents gave to me during the course of a lifetime, there is one that's the most precious of all.
It's the gift of faith.
For that precious, priceless gift, I have immense gratitude.
Naturally, as a child and teen growing up, I had no inkling how important that gift really was.
There were times when I really disliked going to church.
What life taught me, however, is that faith is a lot more than just attending church services.
It's a way of life.
It's relying on God when things get tough.
When the dark, hard times of life rolled in for my parents, and trust me, there were many, they relied on faith to get them through.
They went faithfully to Mass every Sunday, taught us prayers, and turned impossible problems over to the Lord. He always took care of them.
Now that my parents have both gone to the other side, that gift of faith continues to play out in my own life.
When things happen over which I have no control, when my heart is breaking, when worry starts to poke its ugly fingers in my heart, and when I am at a loss for a solution to a problem, I know where to turn.
Almighty God takes care of every detail for His children, no matter how old they are.
For the gift of faith, my gratitude is without end.

I am just writing mine for Linda, Susan. And mine is very similar to yours. We think alike. sandie
Yes, indeed, Susan.
Susan I too am so grateful for my faith. I would not be as able to deal with all of life's ups and downs without it. Thank you for joining my party and I hope to see you next week!
hugs, Linda
Susan, so beautifully said. Gratitude is such a powerful word that we don't hear often enough in everyday life. My parents taught me that being thankful is just part of who we are. Yours and Linda's posts have certainly reminded me of that, XOXO
Hello from Spain: you're right that faith is a very important gift. For me it is essential to have faith in order to live. Keep in touch
My faith is a great part of who I am. It was my upbringing as well that has given me this gift.
Blessings to you, Susan.
Having grown up in the same home as Nellie, I can vouch for our upbringing. There were many difficult times when we were children, but our parents remained steadfast and we saw many things work out in ways one might not have expected. As an adult, I have also had many instances in my own life when that faith has been tested, but God has come through every time! Always grateful for His love and mercy!
I'm very very thankful for faith as well Susan. Our parents instilled a deep appreciation of our faith which will aid us for all of our lives!
Our Savior loves all of us and is always there waiting to help us during our trails if we but just ask Him.
What do people do without faith? Thanks for sharing this, Susan. Always a treat visiting you here.
Welcome to the newest Follower of this blog!
There isn't any identifying information to share but you are most welcome!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Now, on to a new and wonderful week!
Hugs to all. Susan
