Sweet Snowbabies

Snowbabies are darling little figures that always make you smile when you see them.

They make you think about precious children and their antics.

Their faces are adorable, too. They are just the sweetest little things!

They are porcelain and hand-painted.

I love Snowbabies!

Did you know Department 56 that makes the Dickens Village and New England Village pieces has also made hundreds of Snowbabies?

Their artist is Kristi Jensen Pierro. She modeled many of the Snowbabies from antics of her own children.

If you Google her, you can read about her in detail.

Anyway, I just love Snowbabies and I'm always on the lookout for them in shops and at estate and yard sales.

Aren't the two in this post just adorable?

ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH SNOWBABIES?

A few years ago I found a collector downsizing her collection at a yard sale. Oh - I wish I had more money!
depending upon how well you knew the stories about them she would give you a better price.

I did come home with a couple nice pieces that day.

I had one that a friend gave me. The snowbaby was holding my birthstone. But unfortunately, Jingles knocked it off a shelf and it hit the floor. Snowbaby is history now. :( Have a great day ! Tammy

I am familiar with them, but do not own any. I'm afraid my bell collection takes up so much space that I have no room for any more cuteness! Love to look at yours, though! :-)

Susan,
Oh yes, I love Snow Babies, and my sister collects them. I have never seen one as cute as this because it is a little box, and I love these boxes. I have a few of my own. I hope the new year is kind to you, Susan.

They are really cute. I don't collect them myself but I have always had a soft spot for sparkly snowmen. Kit

I love and collect Snow Babies. I have a ton. Got another this past week for under $2 at a thrift store. Perfect condition and the snowbabie was hugging Eeyore. Another of my favorites.
