My fingers clicked along the keyboard.
Other than the sound of clicking keys, silence enveloped me.
Suddenly, glancing toward the door where there are nine panes of glass, I looked at the Valentine wreath hanging from a middle pane.
The late afternoon sun shone through the center of the wreath and the ray of sun enveloped me in blinding brightness.
It was as if a Spiritual force was speaking to me in a language of light.
Soon the sun coming through the center of the wreath was so bright it was totally impossible to look at it.
Mesmerized, I kept trying to glance at the light.
Then the sun began to slowly recede behind the trees in the neighbor's yard.
I got up and ventured out into the bitter cold, onto the back porch, anxious to catch the last lingering glimpse of such incredible beauty.
As always, I clicked the digital camera, capturing photos of the afternoon's magic.
Jagged clouds lined up in precision order in the sky.
Limbs of the trees stood out, outlined against the winter afternoon heavens.
Soon, the sun disappeared and night began to fall.
Silence and deep peace filled the kitchen as I took a last, fleeting glance out of the window above the sink.
Once again, I began to write and the sounds of the keys clicking on the keyboard broke the silence.
WHAT WAS THE LAST MOMENT OF INTENSE BEAUTY THROUGH NATURE THAT YOU WITNESSED ?

Seriously a profound experience to which I can relate.
Susan, this is so amazingly beautiful. Very rare to be able to catch such beauty. I think incredible sunsets do that to me.x
I like the orange crazy light you get straight after rain when the comes out in all its glory, it usually only happens in summer after a thunder storm, in about 10 mts the light has returned to normal.
Merle........
Your photos capturing that light through the window are beautiful. Isn't God wonderful to give us such beauty to enjoy? I love seeing the bright orange sun set behind a small tree covered hill as I look from my dining room window. Shannon
The sunsets have been amazing this winter, it seems to me. (And the sunrises, too - although I don't have a good view of them through any windows in our house. My husband frequently sends pictures of the sunrises he gets to see as he drives to work in the morning....)
I enjoyed seeing the other hearts around your wreath-adorned window, too, by the way.
That's so beautiful!
Enjoy your weekend.
Beautiful....♥ Very poetic. I saw a cardinal on the bush outside my window that was a velvet red.
My mother had crystals hanging in her kitchen window, which my dad gave her. I loved sitting at the table when the sun hit them and watch the colors of the rainbow come through. I'm still mesmerized with rainbows! And, I love how you captured the sunlight coming through the heart--that's how I feel when I come to your blog; full of love, XOXO
I saw a shooting star last night and it was the closest and brightest I've ever seen...magical!
Clouds hanging just below the tips of the mountains on a gorgeous sunny day even though our snow has not melted yet.
Saw a gorgeous rainbow again the mountain when I looked out of a church window last week..it was very
beautiful. It is 80 degrees here today and the sunshine is blinding...but I love every minute of it.
Lovely rays of fading sunshine you shared with us here...
I do love watching the sun move about, inside and outside.
I am in awe of your blog post dear Susan! I could just feel or sense something very special as I went from picture to picture. I am speechless.
Love,
Linda
I have to say the light through the heart was just awesome. And you finding it a miracle.
How beautiful! My moment, probably when I was watching the birds in the back yard this morning!
Beautiful post, Susan...I love Divine moments like that!
Winter sunshine seems to have a special sparkle to it.
This afternoon there were some very serious snow flurries here - with the sun shining brightly as the flurries abated! I had never seen that before - sun and snow at once!
Hi Susan....The images you captured are amazing...... special moments from God....
Blessings
Barb
