So Much To Do, So Little Time

No doubt most of us have wayyyyyyy too much to do and not enough time in which to do it..

Some days it feels like I'm running a marathon.

Yesterday was one of those days.

After a morning of babysitting my granddaughter and then swimming at a community pool for 45 minutes, the fun began.

I'm getting ready for a family gathering late this afternoon for my hubs!

It's his birthday today.

Ran to super. It took seven trips from my car to the house to haul all the groceries in.

The kitchen, of course, looked like a disaster area.

Defrosted  chicken wings in two bowls cuz I didn't have one big enough to hold all of them:

Made ginger marinade for them.

Cut up green and red peppers plus celery for a veggie tray.

Started fruit cup including washing and slicing fresh strawberries.

Made a buttermilk lemon bundt cake from dear blogger, Susan's post (My Mother's Apron Strings.)

Made a crab dip that's going to go into the oven and hollowed out a round loaf of bread that it's going to go into.

Well, you get the idea.  I was a busy girl.

So if I haven't visited you, now you know why.

Will keep you posted on the bash and tell you how it went.

DO YOU LOVE TO ENTERTAIN FOR SPECIAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS?

Well, I'm not sure whether his birthday was yesterday or today, but give him special Happy Birthday wishes from me!! I LOVE birthdays, but find myself not as capable of doing so much preparation for myself as I used to do. Fortunately, there is a wonderful supermarket near us that has a terrific deli/bakery, so I just let them do the cakes we have to have these days, and they are SO GOOD!!! Your menu sounds wonderful, and I'm sure everything turned out quite tasty! I hope you got some rest after all that work, too!! :-)

Trust me, Susan, been there, done that! Busy is my middle name these day and I'm hoping that I can take a deep breath soon and collect my senses. Happy Birthday to your hubby; he's a lucky guy to have such a talented wife that juggles a day like you can, XOXO

I laughed when I saw the photo of what you described as "the kitchen looked like a disaster area!" THAT is not what MY kitchen looks like during its disasters! :)
You're a Wonder Woman, Susan!
