Thankful Sunday

On this Sunday and every day, I am immensely grateful for water.

It's such a gift to be able to quench one's thirst by drinking clean, pure water.

In many places in the world, one cannot find good water.

The fact that we, in the USA, can go to our faucets, turn them on and have water come out is a true blessing.

Here, at our house there is always a pitcher of water in the fridge, ready to assuage thirst.

Usually, there are slices of lemon, lime or both in the water pitcher.

In the photos in this post, of a water pitcher, the fruit slices hadn't been added yet.

Now I love cut glass objects for their often intricate beauty and designs.

Isn't this water pitcher pretty?  Some of the shots are looking down in the water-filled pitcher before pouring some out for a drink.

Isn't it great to be able to drink fresh water and see the beauty of cut glass at the same time?

We are joining Linda's Thankful Sunday on her blog A La Carte. Her party begins Sunday evening.

I am very thankful for water!

Do you like to drink lots of water?

What a great thing to be thankful for - great idea. I love cold water and that crystal vase makes it look even prettier - think I will go get a glass. Sweet dreams.

I don't drink water nearly as often as I should! I think the pitcher really does help make it seem more delectable! :)

I love good, cold water and drink it all day long. I'm a "sipper" and rarely empty a glass before adding more water and/or ice to it. If I had a pitcher that lovely, I would be afraid to use it, as my fridge is normally so packed that things tend to fall out when the door is opened sometimes!! I do like to have a pretty pitcher to put on the table when guests are present. It just looks so refreshing!

Hi Susan... I love water. We have a filter on our tap and use filtered water in our water cooler.
I like your cut glass water jug...
God Bless....Barb

I love water in any form, coffee, hot tea or ice cold. Wen I was a child we had a jug of refrigerated water in summer. Pretty pitcher. It saddens me to think of others without a clean water supply.

Since I have a filter in my refrigerator I can pour cold water any time I need it. Just filled a bottle to take to church with me. I drink lots of water as I live in a dry climate. Sometimes I put a slice of lemon in it too! We collected money at our school for clean water in a third world country just last week!

Drinking more water was one of my "resolutions" this year. We have a Brita pitcher in the "frig" and I also like to add a slice of lemon, lime, or orange. Your cut-glass pitcher is so elegant; I have a smaller version my dad gave me after my mother passed away. It's in my bow front cupboard on display with my tea cups, but every once in awhile, I do use it for warm syrup for Sunday pancakes!
We should be thankful we have clean water here in the USA, XOXO

UGH! I'm supposed to... But I never get as much as what is recommended. I do find that I drink more when there is lemon in there.... And that is far more calorie friendly than Starbucks Cinnamon Chocolate Bread! :)

Lovely crystal! And yes, your right. We should be more grateful for something that we take for granted so!

I can't get enough water some days. And prefer to drink it more than anything else when I'm really hot (though sometimes a really cold beer is good too :). Hugs and blessings, Tammy

I love to drink water and am happy to report that I've weaned my husband off his soda addiction. The other day, he splurged and bought a can of coke. A few sips in, he decided it didn't really taste that great and wasn't worth the tradeoff to his health.

I need to drink more...we are beginning to live in a world that water is growing scarce...being thankful is very important.
