Newfound Treasures

You know how some days have absolutely perfect chunks of time?

Well, yesterday was one of them.

Hubs and I had to travel to a town an hour away to attend a retirement party for a long-time, dear friend.

The venue was very close to a great big Saver's, my all time favorite thrift store.

I had exactly only 15 minutes to "run in and run out."  You should have seen me scramble.

Still managed to come away with some terrific treasures.

Love the little angel with the sparkly wings, shown in this this post, too.

She has a ribbon across her that reads "Grandmother." Cost?  $1.99.

As I write, the fragrance of lilies on the kitchen table mixes with a delicious lemon meringue soy candle I found for 99 cents.

It's original price of $21.99 is still on the glass container it's in.

It's from a company called For Every Body, (I think out of Utah.)

It's really got a lovely scent.

For ages now, I've needed a colander for spaghetti, etc.

Found this big daddy colander for less than $5.00. Will pop it into the dishwasher and it'll be good to go.

Also found this very nice glass casserole, also for less than $5.00. Yippee!

Last treasure was a nice pair of light  beige pants but they are already in the washing machine.

Joining Thrifty Things Friday on Diann's blog, The Thrifty Groove.

Why don't you pay her blog  a visit and see all the cool entries?

My gosh, Susan, you got a bunch of finds in 15 minutes! A good deal.

It was low 80's yesterday and it is now down to 36 with rain and some ice! Might have 3 inches of snow tonight...if so,it will first time recorded for this part of Mo.! I left my ferns out as they can go down to 28 but I really wonder now as they might ICE.

Good night from what season?

Hi Susan, WOW....you are good! All of that in 15 minutes! Where's there's a will, there's a way! I used to like the Goodwill thrift stores, but they are so expensive now. Jim and I do better at the Estate sales, esp on 1/2 price days.
Our weather is supposed to be in the 80's all weekend.

We just got a Savers in our town. When I saw that angel I thought, she looks like Susan. How about that!

Susan,
Love all of your finds!!
My favorite store is Volunteer's of America because every Tuesday, everything is half price except furniture. Then on the last Wednesday of every month, everything in the store is half price!

Hugs,
Deb

That colander would make my day. Mine is missing a handle and I sure didn't pay only 5 bucks for it.

I love thrift shops.
